Meadowlark Serenade

The Meadowlark is the state bird of Montana, so it seemed only fitting to work this little guy into this painting of the foothills surrounding the Highwood Mountains in North Central Montana. Spring is yawning, stretching and ready to get out of bed…but the snow in the mountains proves winter hasn’t released it’s grip quite yet.
